Yukiguni Maitake considers addressing sustainability issues as our important management issue, and have established the Sustainability Promotion Committee as an organization to deliberate on important matters regarding the Group’s sustainability policy, sustainable growth of the entire Group, and initiatives to resolve social issues, and to report and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
The Committee is chaired by President & CEO, Representative Director, and comprised of other full-time Directors (excluding Directors who are members of the Audit and Supervisory Committee) and Executive Officers. In principle, the Committee meetings are generally held semiannually. The Committee assesses the risks and opportunities that social issues including climate change pose to our business, sets targets and considers measures for the reduction etc., of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, including those in the supply chain, and conducts monitoring on the progress. In addition, full-time members of the Audit and Supervisory Committee attend the Sustainability Promotion Committee meetings as observers, and presidents of the Group companies and others also attend such meetings as needed, as designated by the chairperson of the Committee.
Moreover, the Board of Directors receives reports on the status of activities from the Sustainability Promotion Committee on a regular basis and deliberates important matters, such as basic policies for addresssing sustainability issues including climate change.

Risk Management

At Yukiguni Maitake, the Sustainability Promotion Committee considers the risks and opportunities related to sustainability surrounding our Group. The President & CEO, Representative Director, who serves as the Chairperson of the Committee, assumes ultimate responsibility for making management decisions regarding risks related to social issues including climate change, and reports the results of discussions and resolutions by the Committee to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors receives reports from the Sustainability Promotion Committee and supervises the Group’s sustainability policies and action plans as well as other matters.
