Yukiguni Maitake grows its mushrooms using lot of forest resources and water resources which are gifts from nature. It is essential to preserve and grow these resources and build a circular procurement cycle for providing our products to customers for many years to come.
Many of our employees engaged in mushroom cultivation live near the local cultivation centers. They value their relationship with the local communities in their everyday work.
Through our support of environmental conservation activities and revitalization and development of local communities, Yukiguni Maitake is committed to social contribution activities to enhance the sustainability of our society.
In addition, we have identified “coexistence with local communities” as our materiality, and within this materiality, we have set “contribution to local communities through participation in government-sponsored organizations and support for local events,” “promotion of food education through various activities, such as increased engagement with local schools,” and “continuation of Yukiguni Maitake Forest Creation Activities” as priority themes and have set KPIs to continuously work on our initiatives.

Participation in Team Eco
We have so far held events related to the maintenance of forests and greening activities at the “Yukikuni Maitake Forest” in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, and are also communicating our environmental efforts through Team Eco TV commercials.

In addition to sponsoring local sporting events, we actively participate in festivals and other events to contribute to the revitalization of local communities.
